bad news/good news

the bad: amtrak trip is no longer an option because the railpass seats on my journey are sold out and i’d have to pay extra money in addition to the pass. what bullshit.

the good: amtrak railpasses are refundable and greyhound also has a 15 day discovery pass which is cheaper than amtrak’s pass and doesn’t require reservations! it would take about the same amount of time to get to portland/san fran and then back to pgh and there’s a lot more flexibility as far as routes and schedules, which should be interesting. hoping i can get home through the southwest. :)

this is great news because i totally just had a breakdown in front of my parents. again. fuck you amtrak.
